Biography: Detective Jennifer Wright has been with the Wichita, Ks Police Department since July 1992. Jennifer is currently a detective assigned to the Kansas Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force. She has investigated over a thousand cases of child sexual exploitation and has spent three years with the unit as a Digital Forensic Examiner. Prior to being a detective with Kansas ICAC Jennifer served on second watch patrol at Patrol West and then as a community police officer in the Patrol South district. In 1996 Jennifer was one of four officers' who worked on the South Broadway Prostitution Project, which was the first Webber Seavey Award for the department. Jennifer holds a Masters of Management Information Systems from Friends University.
The State of Kansas created criminal statutes in 2017 to combat the creation and dissemination of both self-produced and/or internet trading of both nude materials and sexually explicit materials of children with an emphasis regarding juveniles trading this type of material.
