Biography: Swanhilda McIntosh-Lily (they/them) is a certified Deaf Interpreter. They began attending legal trainings in 2008 which led them to the field of interpreting. Mx. McIntosh-Lily received their Bachelors in American Sign Language in 2013 and their Masters in Sign Language Education in 2016, both from Gallaudet University. Since completing their education, Swanhilda has been led to various jobs including teaching, interpreting, sign-language education, and ASL advocacy. They currently work as a Program Manager with Sorenson Interpreter Education Professional Development and continues to work in courts and the community. In addition to their professional endeavors, Swanhilda loves nurturing plants and caring for their three dogs and three cats. They also enjoy building connections with new people, cherishing quality time with their loved ones, has a passion for home improvements, and believes sports makes each day more exciting! |

Deaf-Hearing Team Interpreting in Action
This workshop is open to certified hearing interpreters and Deaf interpreters who are either certified or non-certified with some formal training. Our goal is to support stronger local collaboration, increase comfort and confidence in team interpreting, and create a space where interpreters can grow, connect, and learn from one another in an authentic and supportive environment.
