Biography: Wes began his law enforcement career with the City of Overland Park PD in 2001 where he still works. He has served as a Patrol Officer, an Explosive Ordinance Disposal Officer, a Field Training Officer and is currently working as a Crime Prevention Officer in the COPPS section. Wes is also retired from the U.S. Army, having served from 1988-2008 and completed 2 combat tours of duty. While in the army, he served as a First Sergeant of a Military Police Company. Wes is certified in many areas including CPTED and Crime Free Programs Instructor. Using his certifications and training, Wes developed a crime free strategy for single family neighborhoods, called Steadfast OP.
