Biography: Lt. Lee Kolbeck with the Rapid City Police Department. Lt. Kolbeck has a bachelor's degree in Computer Information Systems. Lt. Kolbeck began his law enforcement career in 2008. In 2016 he promoted to Detective and was added to the Kansas ICAC taskforce working investigations in Western Kansas and a Cellebrite CCO/CCPA. During that time he not only worked Child Pornography cases but various technology based investigations from financial scams, faked email addresses, etc. This base allowed him to utilize those same resources to aid in more investigations to include drug deals, human trafficking, person crimes to name a few. In 2018 he was promoted to the rank of Sergeant. At that level he served both as a Sergeant for the School Resource Officers and as a Patrol Sergeant. During which he was able to locate students making threats of violence, attempted drug sales, distribution of illicit juvenile images, etc. via game consoles, social media, cellular phones and other platforms along with continuing to help the investigations division as needed.
