Course detail: Allégresse: The Joy of Musical Outreach

Osher is excited to partner with the Lied Center of Kansas to present a performance and lecture series for Osher participants and other community members. In this program, an online livestream of the performance will be presented from the Lied Center stage following an educational lecture. This collaboration, made possible by KS Creative Arts Industries Commission & National Endowment for the Arts grant, aims to provide free access to quality, engaging performing arts experiences and education from the comfort and safety of participants' homes during times of social distancing.

Allégresse, the French word for joy, aptly depicts the graceful artistry of this inspiring trio featuring Annie Gnojek, flute, Margaret Marco, oboe, and Ellen Sommer, piano. They will discuss their passion for outreach concerts plus new projects on the horizon. The evening will conclude with a recital performance from the Lied Center stage. Pre-performance talk on Zoom begins at 6:30 p.m. Livestream performance begins at 7:15 p.m. https://www.allegresse.org.
