Course detail: Confined Space Rescue Level 1 and 2 Refresher

Confined Space Rescue 2 Refresher is a one-day (8hrs) course designed to facilitate trained confined space rescuers reviewing and implementing knowledge and skills through field lectures and scenario evolutions. Topics covered include equipment review, working in confined spaces, entry permits, attendant and entrant responsibilities, atmospheric monitoring, rope rescue systems, victim removal methods, and completing lockout and tag out of energy isolation systems. Scenarios are used to require the rescuer to analyze situations, formulate a plan, and then implement the plan of action to perform a rescue. The course will be conducted on planned structures or natural environments involving strenuous physical activity and the ability of the student to work at heights.

Introduction to Technical Rescue - NFPA 1006, Edition 2013
Certified Emergency Medical Responder or higher
Confined Space Rescue 2

Additional Info:
Persons taking this course must be physically fit, do moderate to heavy lifting, and work in confined spaces. Personal protective equipment is to be furnished by the student and includes: OSHA or ANSI approved helmet (fire helmets are okay), safety goggles or approved safety glasses (fire helmet shields do not meet this requirement), clean leather work gloves, steel-toed boots, and durable work clothes (no shorts or tank-tops). Fire department technical rescue ensemble or wildland FF gear is recommended.
