Course detail: AFV - Alternative Fuel Vehicle Safety & Response
This course covers Alternative Fuel Vehicle (AFV) safety and incident response. It is delivered in two 4-hour segments making this a full 8-hour course. Part 1 is safety training. Part 2 is incident response training. AFV safety lessons are designed to provide students with a general awareness of common alternative fuel vehicles, available fuel types, fuel storage, and general safety issues. Incident response lessons are designed to provide students with an overview of planning and response factors for alternative fuel vehicle incidents. Size-up considerations are the primary focus of the training. This course is not intended to address tactical issues for first responders.
