Course Detail: WELL-9281 - The Role of Our Mindset in Stress Management

What if you could train your mind to work with you instead of against you? This mindset-focusedworkshop dives into the powerful link between how you think and how you feel-especially underpressure. You'll uncover the hidden thought patterns that may be intensifying your stress and learn howto reframe challenges in a way that boosts resilience and calm. We'll explore the differences betweenfixed and growth mindsets, practice cognitive reframing, and tap into the power of self-compassion andgratitude to shift your mental state.

Course Objectives

By the end of this workshop, participants will be able to:

  • Explain the connection between thoughts, emotions, and stress, particularly in high-pressure situations.
  • Identify common unhelpful thought patterns that may contribute to increased stress and anxiety.
  • Differentiate between a fixed mindset and a growth mindset, and describe how each affects resilience and personal development.
  • Apply cognitive reframing techniques to shift negative or rigid thoughts into more balanced, constructive perspectives.
Class Note: Upon successful completion, two (2) contact hours will be awarded to nurses, counselors, nursing home administrators, occupational therapists, respiratory care practitioner, physical therapists and social workers.
