Course Description: Theater Arts Youth Camp

In this camp, students will experience the theater arts! They will learn the process of putting on a performance, including how to design and build a set, and use their knowledge to stage a short play. Students will each have a role in the play. Parents/caregivers are invited to join the last 30 minutes of the final day of camp to see the play in action. No experience in theater necessary to join the fun! For students ages 10-15. Please bring a sack lunch.

Nacho Ruiz

Biography: Nacho Ruiz graduated from COCC with his AAOT and a certificate in illustration and this coming fall, he will return to school to finish his BFA in theater arts and pursue his dreams of working in New York. Which he has already started! Last summer, he worked as a scenic painter for a theater company in New York, and brought many of those gained talents to Madras High School's production of "A Midsummer Night's Dream". Nacho is directing The Wizard of Oz this summer and is thrilled to bring the arts to Central Oregon!

Students must cancel by contacting our office via phone: (541) 383-7270 or email: ceinfo@cocc.edu. Cancellations received 5 days prior to the start of the class will receive a full refund. Full refunds are also issued for classes cancelled by COCC. Refunds will be issued back to your card or in the form of a check and mailed within two weeks of the cancellation date if paid by check or cash. Failure to participate in a course or program does not result in a refund. Exceptions to the general refund policy are noted in the course descriptions on our website and in the printed schedule.
