Course Description: Growing Gardens for Food and Fun Youth Camp

If you love plants and getting your hands dirty, then join us to grow your own food, save seeds, make mason bee homes, and deep dive into gardening. Students will take home gardening knowledge, supplies, and activities to grow gardens for themselves, their community, and for the natural world. Topics covered include soils, seeds, insects, and caring for plants in the Central Oregon climate. Ages 10-15.

Biography: Kaci Rae Christopher is an outdoor and garden educator who focuses on life skills training for young adults and children. Her passion is fostering a healthy land ethic, personal empowerment, and environmental literacy in children of all ages through outdoor immersion and skill building in the garden.

Students must cancel by contacting our office via phone: (541) 383-7270 or email: ceinfo@cocc.edu. Cancellations received 5 days prior to the start of the class will receive a full refund. Full refunds are also issued for classes cancelled by COCC. Refunds will be issued back to your card or in the form of a check and mailed within two weeks of the cancellation date if paid by check or cash. Failure to participate in a course or program does not result in a refund. Exceptions to the general refund policy are noted in the course descriptions on our website and in the printed schedule.
