Course Description: Beats & Jams: Digital Music Creators Youth Camp

Begin your rise to the top of the charts with digital music production! Just like today's top artists, you can design your own beats or remix a mashup of your favorite songs to become a digital composer and sound engineer. In this course, students will learn to produce digital music, record sound, make sound effects, and mix their own tracks. No prior music experience is necessary. Student-created soundtracks will be available on a password protected website to share with friends and family. Students will work in pairs or teams for most of the program. Ages 10-15. *Compatible with MAC, Windows, and Chrome OS.

Lizzy Delaporte

Biography: Lizzy Delaporte attended the University of Oregon for undergrad and then went to Oregon State University-Cascades to get her Masters in teaching. She currently resides in Bend, OR, and is a second-grade teacher which she absolutely loves! During the summer she is a STEM camps instructor for COCC Community Education youth camps. She loves the constant learning she gets through teaching and the challenge of teaching STEM!

Full refunds are also issued for classes cancelled by COCC. Refunds will be issued back to your card or in the form of a check and mailed within two weeks of the cancellation date if paid by check or cash. Failure to participate in a course or program does not result in a refund. Exceptions to the general refund policy are noted in the course descriptions on our website and in the printed schedule.
