Course Description: FA 101: Introduction to Film

This course focuses on audio-visual narratives, with an emphasis on how the collaborative process of combining cinematography, editing, sound, mise-en-scene, and acting constructs meaning and communicates ideas. This is a college-level course. Although assignments, tests, and quizzes are optional for Community Education students, you will be expected to fully participate. A textbook may be required for this course. Please check with the COCC Bookstore. https://bookstore.cocc.edu/home. This is a non-credit Community Education class. You will not receive college credit.

Full refunds are also issued for classes cancelled by COCC. Refunds will be issued back to your card or in the form of a check and mailed within two weeks of the cancellation date if paid by check or cash.
