Course Description: G169: Field Geology - Exploration of the PNW

This course explores locations of geologic interest throughout the Pacific Northwest and meets for a multi-day overnight field trip to a selected location within a day's drive. This is a non-credit Community Education course, taken with credit students. You will not receive college credit.

Schedule: Class meets for orientation on Wednesday June 24th via Zoom from 5:30pm to 6:30pm. Class meets in-person on Thursday, July 16 at 2:30pm at Middleton Science Center on COCC's Bend Campus. Field trip will go to the Oregon Coast; Beverly Beach Campground. Depart from Bend Thursday, July 16th, 2:30pm, return late Sunday, July 19th. Students must cancel by contacting our office via phone: (541) 383-7270 or email: ceinfo@cocc.edu. Cancellations received 5 days prior to the start of the class will receive a full refund. Full refunds are also issued for classes cancelled by COCC. Refunds will be issued back to your card or in the form of a check and mailed within two weeks of the cancellation date if paid by check or cash. Failure to participate in a course or program does not result in a refund. Exceptions to the general refund policy are noted in the course descriptions on our website and in the printed schedule.
