Course Detail: CCBSBDC - Construction Contractors Training Program (CCB)
The Oregon Construction Contractors Board (CCB) Pre-licensing Training course provides the minimum 16 hours of education/training required by the Oregon CCB for license application. The course covers key topics included in the NASCLA Contractors Guide to Business, Law and Project Management, 2nd edition (Oregon).
Registration for this class includes:
- Two full days of class instruction taught in-person by local instructor
- A copy of the NASCLA Guide to keep for test and future reference. ($78+ value).
CCB Examination Process
The exam is scheduled by appointment with PSI Exams after completing the class. PSI Exams is the Oregon CCB-approved examination service.
Exam Details
- 80 questions
- 180 minutes (3 Hours) time limit
- Passing score is 70% or higher
- Test taken online using ZOOM following completion of training course
- English or Spanish exams available
- "Open Book" test using NASCLA Guide
- Exam Fee is $60 paid separately and directly to PSI by student
(Instructions for how to register with PSI to take the exam will be provided during class.)
The exam may be taken at your home or office. Should you not have access to sufficient technology resources (i.e.: computer and reliable internet service), you may contact the SBDC office to arrange for use of SBDC resources to take the exam.
Requirements for Class and Exam Registration
All course and exam participants must provide a copy of any one of the following government-issued photo ID:
- Driver's License
- DMV Identification Card
- Green Card
- Military ID
- US Passport
No other identification will be accepted. Information will be electronically transferred to the Oregon Construction Contractors Board and will be again requested by PSI during your exam appointment.
CCB License Application Process
Upon passing the exam, students receive a certificate from PSI documenting successful completion. The certificate can then be submitted with your license application to the Oregon CCB. Contractor license applicants must obtain a CCB license within two years of passing the Oregon pre-license exam. (State of Oregon CCB License fee is not included with course.)
