Learn to identify triggers, understand the causes of challenging behaviors in dementia, and apply practical, person-centered strategies to promote positive interactions, while earning 2.5 CEUs.

Students will learn the basic fundamentals of welding. This is a project-based course utilizing an open-lab format. Students can creatively plan, fabricate, and make art out of metal. Topics covered will include: Gas welding, Stick welding, Mig welding, Tig welding, safety, introduction to advanced Mig equipment and operation. Class is open to all levels of students. Please bring clear and shade 5 safety glasses, welding gloves, closed toed leather boots or shoes, a welding jacket, and welding helmet to each class. Questions about PPE or welding safety equipment will be discussed at the first class meeting. Materials for projects are not included in the course fee. Begin your professional diving journey with Umpqua Community College's SCUBA 200 - PADI® Divemaster course, a comprehensive program that prepares passionate divers to step into leadership by building advanced skills, real-world experience, and confidence while assisting instructors, supporting dive operations, and guiding others safely, all within a student-centered learning environment and with required certifications, dive experience, medical clearance, and fitness readiness.

Try SCUBA diving with PADI® Discover SCUBA Diving.  These sessions are designed for anyone who wants to try scuba diving, but isn't quite ready to take the plunge with a full SCUBA certification course.  Our PADI® Discover SCUBA Diving experience is a 2 hour pool session with optional open water dives and is a quick and easy way to find out if you like scuba diving.  Held on demand, once a month during the summer.
