Boater Handbook must be completed prior to class. 1 - 2 hours of pre-course study is required. Pharmacy Tech Training
UCC will be offering a comprehensive 51-hour course to prepare students to enter the pharmacy field and take the Pharmacy Technician exam. The course includes pharmacy specific medical terminology, reading and interpreting prescriptions and defining drugs by generic and brand names. Students learn dosage calculations, IV flow rates, drug compounding, dose conversions, dispensing of prescriptions, inventory control and billing, and reimbursement. The course will be delivered via remotely in real time using Zoom. Required book will be mailed or available for pick up prior to the first night of class.
