Phlebotomy
Click on Phlebotomy above to access the Course Resources. Before you can register for this class you must attend an information session. Information sessions for potential students is available at 1 pm via Zoom on February 24. Call 541-440-4668 or email cwtoperations@umpqua.edu to sign up. This course qualifies students to work in medical laboratories, hospitals, clinics, donor facilities, healthcare insurance providers and more. Classroom, laboratory and optional clinical experience are in this 11 week course. See attached info sheet for more details. Upon successful completion of the Phlebotomy course you will be qualified to take the National Phlebotomy Technician PBT certification exam. Course work includes; confidentiality and HIPPA regulations, basic anatomy and physiology, infection control and safety, venipuncture, specimen handling and hands-on training with patients in a clinical setting. Wildland Firefighter Entry Level S130 S190
Entry Level Wildland Fire S130/S190. Due to Covid 19 All of this course will take place via Zoom except the Work Capacity Fit Test (WFT) (Pack Test) and the Fire Shelter portion. The WFT and Fire Shelter will take place at the UCC Track following social distancing guidelines. The students must have a face mask for the fire shelter portion. For the WFT students will need to bring their own 45 pound pack which will be weighed. Students will not have to wear a mask during the WFT but will need to maintain a distance of 10' from each other while completing the test.
