Course Detail: SSSP - SIUE Suzuki Summer Lesson Program

The SIUE Suzuki Program is dedicated to string instruction for children ages 3-18. The program has been a part of the Edwardsville community for over 50 years.

The SIUE Suzuki Program was founded in 1965 by John Kendall, one of the pioneers in Suzuki Education. Using the Talent Education method of teaching, we educate young string players in violin, viola and cello. Through this we aspire to create beautiful hearts as well as skilled musicians. Our program was the first university-based Suzuki teacher training program in the United States, and we are proud to have trained teachers and leaders in the Suzuki movement for over fifty years. The SIUE Suzuki Program is composed of our students, their families and our teachers who all work together for the benefit of the students.
