Course Detail: IMA1 - Introduction to Marian Anderson

In honor of National Stamp Collecting Month, participants will be exposed to philatelic materials, explore the hobby of stamp collecting and learn about Marian Anderson. The contralto Opera singer has a rich history in civil rights. She performed a wide range of music, from opera to spirituals. Anderson performed with renowned orchestras in major concert and recital venues throughout the United States and Europe between 1925 and 1965.
