Course Detail: MACH - Whisk Your Own Matcha

The Japanese tea ceremony, "The Way of Tea." This practice goes beyond simply drinking tea-it values tranquility, respect, purity, and reverence. At the heart of this ancient ritual is the bamboo matcha whisk, a simple yet refined tool. The traditional whisking method involves precise, graceful, and rapid movements, almost like a delicate dance. This process not only enhances the flavor but elevates matcha preparation into a meditative journey. As you whisk matcha, you immerse yourself in a calming Zen moment. A certified table tea master in Japan will teach this course. In this class, we will learn a simplified and modified version of matcha (green tea) preparation, originally rooted in the Omotesenke tradition. Omotesenke is one of the three primary schools of the Sen family tradition, alongside Urasenke and Mushakojisenke.
