Heartsaver First Aid, CPR & AED is a video-based, instructor-led course that teaches students critical skills needed to respond to and manage an emergency until emergency medical services arrives.

This training program consists of a combination of Nurse Assistant theory, lab, and clinical instruction. Students attend this in-person training according to a predetermined schedule.


September 26, 2022 to October 7, 2022, Bergstrom Technical Center, Room 273
This online training program consists of a combination of 4 weeks of Nurse Assistant theory in an online setting (Blackboard) in addition to face-to-face lab and clinical instruction. Students complete 4 weeks of online coursework, then attend labs and clinicals in person on a predetermined schedule.

This instructor-led 4-week course consists of only the theory portion of the Nurse Assistant Training Program. It is designed to serve as a learning aid to be used in conjunction with the Nurse Assistant textbook and workbook (both are included in course fee). Students who cannot participate in a complete NA Training Program are candidates for this course.

This 12-hour course will be a review of nurse assistant theory and hands-on skills to better prepare students for the state certification exam.
