This instructor-led 4-week course consists of only the theory portion of the Nurse Assistant Training Program. It is designed to serve as a learning aid to be used in conjunction with the Nurse Assistant textbook and workbook (both are included in course fee). Students who cannot participate in a complete NA Training Program are candidates for this course.

TrainND at Lake Region State College offers many options for online career training programs through ed2go. The training programs are longer in length as they are comprised of several courses and may lead to certification. Some examples of career training programs include Certified Bookkeeper, Clinical Dental Assistant, Front End Web Developer, and HVAC/R Certified Technician.

This online training program consists of a combination of 4 weeks of Nurse Assistant theory in an online setting (Blackboard) in addition to face-to-face lab and clinical instruction. Students complete 4 weeks of online coursework, then attend labs and clinicals in person on a predetermined schedule.

The BLS course trains participants to promptly recognize several life-threatening emergencies, give high-quality chest compressions, deliver appropriate ventilations and provide early use of an AED. Classes are typically held in January, February, and August. Businesses/Facilities needing employees trained may inquire about scheduling a special course at 701-662-1578 or LRSC.trainnd@LRSC.edu.
