Lake Region State College's North Dakota Department of Health-approved non-credit 80-hour nurse assistant training program provides students with the knowledge and skills necessary to gain employment as a certified nurse assistant (CNA). Programming consists of a combination of Nurse Assistant theory, lab and 16 hours of clinical instruction. This hybrid training program consists of a combination of 4 weeks of online Nurse Assistant theory coursework in addition to 32 hours of face-to-face lab and clinical instruction. This instructor-led 4-week course consists of only the theory portion of the Nurse Assistant Training Program. It is designed to serve as a learning aid to be used in conjunction with the Nurse Assistant textbook and workbook (both are included in course fee).
