Course Detail: CNAB - Nurse Assistant (CNA) Training Program (Online with Face-to-Face Labs & Clinical)

Course Description
Lake Region State College's North Dakota Department of Health-approved non-credit 75-hour hybrid nurse assistant training program provides students with the knowledge and skills necessary to gain employment as a Certified Nurse Assistant (CNA). Programming consists of a combination of online coursework covering Nurse Assistant theory (43 hours minimum), plus 16 hours of in-person lab and 16 hours of in-person clinical instruction. Students attend the in-person lab and clinical according to a predetermined schedule.

Each class allows time for intensive and individualized instruction from an experienced long-term care RN instructor. Students who already have access to Blackboard will use their current login credentials to access the course. All others will be provided a temporary login ID and password (please watch your email for instructions). Students will be expected to complete and document a minimum of 43 hours of coursework during the four (4) weeks of online theory. Following the completion of the online coursework, students will attend 16 hours of in-person lab and 16 hours of in-person clinical at the Lake Region State College Devils Lake, ND campus. A final exam will be issued towards the end of the course. Students who pass the final exam (75% or greater), meet the minimum of 75 attendance hours (minimum of 16 required clinical hours), and complete all online coursework requirements (earning an 80% or greater) will earn a certificate of training.
