Course Detail: WELL-9286 - Amplifying Voices: Empowering Survivors with Disabilities

This interactive session explores best practices for supporting individuals with disabilities who are survivors of sexual assault. Participants will deepen their understanding of trauma-informed, disability-inclusive approaches to advocacy and care. The course emphasizes strategies that foster survivor empowerment and self-determination. Through real-life case studies, experiential activities, and guided reflection, attendees will gain practical tools to navigate complex support situations with empathy, cultural humility, and effectiveness.

Class note: Upon successful completion, 5.5 contact hours will be awarded to nurses, respiratory care practitioners, nursing home administrators, social workers, licensed professional counselor/clinical counselors, physical therapists, and occupational therapists.
