Course Detail: SAFE-9005 - Sexual Harassment Prevention Training for Healthcare Professionals

Sexual harassment in the workplace can be prevented and/or discouraged with training, anti-harassment policies, and reporting. Employers are responsible for creating work environments that are safe for all employees and are free from harassment. This seminar will discuss the laws and regulations that define sexual harassment. The many consequences that are caused by sexual harassment and how to report sexual harassment if one experiences or witnesses it in the workplace will be outlined. This course also will review the laws that are in place to protect those who make a report. 


The intended audience of this seminar is physicians, physician assistants, nurses, pharmacists, social workers, therapists, and all members of the interprofessional healthcare team who may act to prevent sexual harassment. This seminar meets the requirements for nurses as stated by the Illinois Department of Financial and Professional Regulations.


1 contact hour will be awarded to nurses, social workers, counselors, respiratory care technicians, occupational therapists, physical therapists and nursing home administrators.
