Course Detail: NCRD-8092 - Spanish Interpretation: Community Interpreting
Interpreters are needed in public service areas. If you love helping people, have a good ear for language and can speak Spanish, you should consider working as a Spanish interpreter. Individuals unable to communicate in English or with limited English proficiency often cannot gain access to services and are at considerable risk for receiving inappropriate care because of the language barrier. This course teaches the skills necessary to become an effective interpreter including skits and plenty of practice. Participants must be fluent in both English and Spanish before enrollment.
Class Note: Enhance your skills with the Spanish Interpretation course. Through a grant from the Illinois Community College Board, register using the code: fall25 to receive 50 % off your course. This includes the cost of the textbook, $120 value.
