This comprehensive 8-hour seminar provides healthcare professionals, caregivers, and others working with individuals affected by dementia with the tools and strategies needed to deliver high-quality, compassionate care. This seminar fulfills the educational requirement for individuals seeking Certified Dementia Practitioner (CDP) status through the National Council of Certified Dementia Practitioners (NCCDP). Participants will leave with a deeper understanding of dementia and practical skills they can immediately apply in their professional settings.

Course Objectives

Upon completion of this seminar, participants will be able to:

A significant portion of this workshop is being covered by a grant from the Illinois Community College Board, reducing the cost from $185 to just $25/person.

Class note: Upon successful completion, seven (7) contact hours will be awarded to nurses, counselors, nursing home administrators, occupational therapists, COTAs, respiratory therapists, physical therapists, PTAs, social workers and dieticians.
