This presentation will help law enforcement officers better understand the Active Shooter, his attack, the environment in which we will fight him, what is most likely to happen, how attacks in some types of locations differ from others, and demonstrate over 20 law enforcement lessons-learned from successes and failures in efforts to interdict this threat. This information will improve the law enforcement officer's mental, skill, and tactical preparation to stop this threat. This presentation will not include any law enforcement sensitive information, but will include adult topics, language, photos, and videos.

Career Welding Certificate
Students are trained to produce quality gas metal arc (MIG) welds on structural carbon steel using proper techniques and procedures and to perform welds in multiple positions. Students will also be trained to perform welds utilizing SMAW (stick welding) on multiple projects in the flat, horizontal, vertical and over-head positions. As the class progresses students will be introduced to several different electrodes as well as electrode sizes. With new electrodes/sizes students will gain the knowledge of how to adjust settings for each, as well as for what position. Students will have the opportunity to attempt AWS certification at the end of this course. Students also receive training in 10-hour OSHA general industry, electric arc welding safety, and welding-related blueprint reading. Students will be briefly introduced to FCAW during this course. Students must wear leather boots to class. All fees and materials are included.

Fluid Power 2
This course will address fluid quality and fire resistant fluids as utilized in the industry. Laboratory projects will utilize electrically controlled valves and construction of advanced fluid control circuits. The Student will develop basic troubleshooting techniques in correcting systems faults and determine when fluid leakage and system heat are a problem in a fluid system. Forklift Safety Operator
Operators shall receive initial training in the following topics, except in topics which the employer can demonstrate are not applicable to safe operation in the employer's workplace." Production Welding
This program is available for students interested in welding as an occupation. Welding is essential to the expansion and productivity of a vast array of industries. Welding is considered to be the principal means of fabricating and repairing all metal products. It is difficult to imagine an industry today, large or small, which does not involve some type of welding. Skilled welders often work independently and can utilize their skills anywhere in the world. As the class progresses students will be introduced to several different electrodes as well as electrode sizes. With new electrodes/sizes students will gain the knowledge of how to adjust settings for each as well as for what position. Students will have the opportunity to attempt AWS certifications as the end of this course. Students will be briefly introduced to FCAW during this course. At the end of this course students will be introduced to FCAW which ties back to structural welding or anything outdoors. Production Welding is a prerequisite for this class.
