Begin your professional diving journey with Umpqua Community College in this SCUBA 200 - PADI® Divemaster course-the first step into leadership in the diving world. Take the next step-train with us and become the diver others look to for guidance and inspiration.Prerequisites to enrol include being certified as a PADI Advanced Open Water Diver and PADI Rescue Diver (or qualifying certification) with completed Underwater Navigation Dive; 18 years of age; Logged 40 Open Water SCUBA dives; EFR/CPR Primary and Secondary Care training (or qualifying training) within 24 months; Medically evaluated and cleared for diving by a physician within 12 months. SCUBA diving is not without risk. In order to participate in this PADI® Divemaster Candidate Program a completed medical questionnaire signed by a doctor is required. Students will also need to be reasonably fit and comfortable in the water. If the candidate is a youth 15 to 18 years old, they can enroll with our PADI® Junior Divemaster option.
