Course Detail: NXI3 - NX Advanced: Surface Design and Analysis

Course description: 
This course introduces the fundamentals of creating wireframe and surface geometry, and takes an in-depth look at process-based modeling techniques used to develop robust and flexible surface geometry, along with advanced curve construction, advanced swept, blend and offset surface construction, complex fillet creation, etc. Curve and surface analyses are introduced to validate the student's geometry.  Tools and methods for rebuilding geometry are also discussed. This course is application-oriented with many hands-on projects.

Subjects covered include: 
Surface terminology, Spline, wireframe and surface creation process, Advanced wireframe elements, Curve analysis and repair, Simple and complex surfaces, Surface operations, Surface model investigation, Blend surfaces, Surface fillets, Adaptive and sweeps, Swept surfaces, Surface-based solid features, Surface analysis and repair, Offset surfaces, NX Realize Shape.

Prerequisites: NX Intermediate course or consent of Instructor
