Course Detail: CNAF - Nurse Assistant (CNA) Training Program (Face-to-Face)

This training program consists of a combination of Nurse Assistant theory, lab and clinical instruction. Students attend this in-person training according to a predetermined schedule.

Each class allows time for intensive and individualized instruction from an experienced long-term care RN instructor. This training program is delivered in a face-to-face setting over a period of five (5) weeks in which full attendance is required to successfully complete the program (see sample training program syllabus for more information regarding the attendance policy). Upon completion of the program, students will be scheduled to take the state certification exam consisting of both a written and skills test. After passing both portions of the state exam, the student earns the title "Certified Nurse Assistant".

Students will be required to follow COVID-19 safety protocols while attending class. This will include mask wearing while in the classroom and during lab.  For more details, contact TrainND at 701-662-1578.

Prerequisites: Please see the example syllabus in the Resources section below for important information regarding course prerequisites and other policies.  Students in this session will be completing simulated clinical at Lake Region State College.

Cost includes books, training materials, laboratory fees, instruction from an experienced Registered Nurse instructor, and your first attempt at the state CNA exam. The state test date is yet to be determined, and will be posted here once scheduled.

Cancellation Policy: Cancellation more than 5 days prior to start of training results in a 25% cancellation fee based on the class fee. Cancellation 5 days or less to the start of training results in no refund.
