The Domestic Violence Symposium brings together survivors, advocates, and professionals to raise awareness, share resources, and strengthen our collective commitment to ending domestic violence.

Through defining domestic violence, meaningful dialogue, practical tools, and supportive connections, this symposium aims to educate, uplift, and empower individuals and families impacted by domestic violence.
The Alumni Association at Governors State University hosts the annual Domestic Violence Symposium to raise awareness and combat domestic violence, bringing together alumni, community partners, and advocates to promote education, healing, and connection. This year's symposium partners with Bonneville Event Solutions, led by Stephanie Cooper, whose parents, Roberta Dixon-Bonner and Larry Bonner, were both GovState alumni and employees.
