Camp Times: 9 A.M. to 1 P.M. 

Course Description: Governors State University is hosting Blues Kids fun from July 29-31, 2024! Campers will be guided through basic music skills necessary to play proficiently and effectively in a music community and be introduced to the art of live professional performance! This program is ideal for any child passionate about music. All are welcome! 

Audition Video should address the following questions: 

• What is your name?
• Grade level?
• How long have you played this instrument? 
• What other instruments do you play?
• Instrument for audition and camp 
• Song Title
• Play 3 to 5 minutes of your best song! 

This is a first come, first served program with a limited number of seats. 

• Ages: Middle and High School Students (11 to 16)
• Location: Governors State University, Hall of Honors
• Lunch and snacks are included in registration!
• Children should bring their instruments! Arrangements can be made for kids without.

• Blues Cord Patterns
• Call and Response
• Practical Application of Skills
• Creating a Set
• Getting in the Groove!
