Join Historian and longtime TKE class presenter Myras Osman for an exploration of the challenges facing the early Republic of the United States. The years covered will be 1796 to 1815 with a look at the administrations of John Adams, Thomas Jefferson and James Madison. 

Topics via lecture and documentary films will include the controversial Election of 1800, the Expansion of Slavery, the Louisiana Purchase, the Lewis and Clark Expedition highlighting its impact and the near disastrous War of 1812 (the Second War for Independence).
