Course Detail: SACT - Preparing for the SAT & ACT

Almost all undergraduate colleges and universities requirethat prospective students take either the ACT or the SAT and most students takeboth. This customized course combines our popular ACT and SAT test prep intoone low cost price. This course will prepare you for all question types foundon both the ACT and SAT using test-taking techniques taught to thousands ofcollege bound students around the world. We will analyze each of the testquestion areas and give special consideration given to math and verbalrefreshers and techniques aimed at relieving test-taking anxiety. You willpractice on actual ACT and SAT tests from previous years, and we fully explainand interpret the correct and incorrect answers in an online or live lectureformat.

ACT

Topics include effective word usage, grammar, and readingcomprehension for the verbal sections; techniques for the science reasoningsection; and basic and advanced math concepts (including fractions, decimals,percentages, ratios, proportions) and algebraic and geometric concepts for themath section.

SAT

Topics include command of evidence, words in context,information and ideas, rhetoric and synthesis questions for the readingsection, expression of ideas, grammar and Standard English conventions for thewriting section, essay writing for the optional essay, and basic and advancedmath concepts (including fractions, decimals, percentages, ratios, andproportions) and algebraic, geometric, and trigonometric concepts for the mathsections.
