Course Detail: TACH - Tai Chi
What is Tai Chi?
Reduce stress gently; feel better, through graceful movement and exercise. Tai chi is an ancient Chinese tradition, which involves movements performed in a slow, concentrated, and intentional way with deep focus on breathing. Tai Chi is noncompetitive, self-paced rhythmical movement that combines physical exercise and stretching. Tai Chi is different than yoga is a practice that combines meditative movement and balance.
Who can do Tai Chi?
Tai chi is low impact, and generally is a safe form of exercise for all ages and fitness levels. You do not have to be a martial arts master to gain the benefits of tai chi. Practicing Tai Chi does not require special equipment; you can take your practice outside or inside, alone or in a group.
