T&L 2900: VIR: Implementing STEAM Skills Across Content Areas

It is essential that today's educators provide students with opportunities to learn and build STEAM (science, technology, engineering, art, and mathematics) skills across the curriculum. This task can be overwhelming because the application of these skills greatly varies across grade levels and content areas. In this course, participants will focus on the main STEAM skills of problem solving, critical thinking, creativity, curiosity, logical reasoning, and collaboration to design meaningful learning experiences to meet individual needs. Participants will reflect on their own professional and educational experience integrating these skills. Participants will explore and apply digital tools to set goals, research, track progress, and show learning. Participants will collaborate via online communities to discuss and share lessons and strategies.
