Course Detail: WILDMURSHROOM - Springtime Wild Mushroom Class and Foray

This two-part wild mushroom class introduces students to the fascinating springtime fungi of the Pacific Northwest. The first session takes place in person and covers seasonal mushroom identification, foraging ethics, required permits, safety considerations, and the essential gear and supplies needed for successful foraging. The second session is an on-site guided foray consisting of approximately two hours of foraging in a forested area, where students will learn to locate wild mushrooms in their natural habitat. Terrain may be uneven and physically demanding, and students should be prepared for a drive time of between one to two hours to reach the foray location. Foray location TBD.
