Do you have a sewing machine that you don't know how to use? Do want to sew but have had no training or instruction? This course is designed to teach the basics of machine sewing. Skills gained will be threading and basic troubleshooting. Basic machine adjustments and stitch types. How to sew on various fabrics. Basic sewing terms and techniques including using simple patterns. This class is geared for adults and older teens. Students will provide their own machines, thread, pins, and scissors. Course fee will cover material for the first 3 small projects. Students will purchase their own fabric for project 4.

Traditionally printmaking is meant to use mediums and techniques that allow for multiple prints that come out exactly the same, but Monoprinting is a form of printmaking where the image can only be made once! We will practice different techniques and use that knowledge to make a card to send to someone, or a piece of art to hang on the wall!
