Boater Safety
Students who pass the course can apply for their boater education card as required by Oregon's mandatory Boater Education Program. Boater Handbook must be completed prior to class. 1 - 2 hours of pre-course study is required. Certified Flagger Training
Prepare to be a Flagger for work zone traffic control. Learn the basics of flagging and traffic control. Receive State of Oregon ODOT Credentials for Flaggers. Valid for three years Class fee includes textbooks. Class is online. Must be 18 or older to get a job as a Flagger. Information: Judy 541-440-4668. Forklift Training

Handgun Safety and Self Defense
Gain knowledge and proficiency to properly use and care for handguns from a nationally certified instructor. Upon completion, participants will be eligible to apply for a Concealed Weapon Permit. Limited Pump Installer Contractors License
This course will serve in lieu of the one-year experience required for the Limited Pump Installer's license. This course is appropriate for people wanting a Limited Pump Installer Contractors License and is for Residential only NOT Commercial. Limited space available. OAR 918-030-0015 requires contractors registered with the Building codes Division to maintain an active CCB license. Be sure to provide the business/company's CCB number and expiration date. If the business is exempt from CCB licensure, submit with the application a letter, on letterhead, stating the reason for the exemption. Contact 541-440-4668 for more information. Non-Credit Class A CDL A to B
Train to be an entry level Truck Driver. Students must obtain a Class A Permit before starting the class. It is required to contact Judy Ode 541-440-7691 a minimum of two weeks before you want to start the program for information on all steps to take to enter the CDL program. Pharmacy Tech Training
UCC will be offering a comprehensive 51-hour course to prepare students to enter the pharmacy field and take the Pharmacy Technician exam. The course includes pharmacy specific medical terminology, reading and interpreting prescriptions and defining drugs by generic and brand names. Students learn dosage calculations, IV flow rates, drug compounding, dose conversions, dispensing of prescriptions, inventory control and billing, and reimbursement. The course will be delivered via remotely in real time using Zoom. Required book will be mailed or available for pick up prior to the first night of class.
