This course will help prepare students to serve as a Community Health Worker (CHW). The primary function of CHW is to link the community and its health and social service systems in order to improve and maintain quality health and wellness in the community. To accomplish this, the student will study access to such services such as advocacy, outreach, referrals, community education, mentoring and social support. The course addresses all requirements as outlined by the Oregon Health Authority and upon receiving a passing grade, students will qualify to apply for accreditation as a Community Health Worker to the Oregon Health Authority for the State of Oregon.

Students that want to learn the necessary calculations dictated in the National Electrical Code (NEC) need this class. This class uses the same calculations that are Supervisor level. Students will learn calculations in residential and commercial applications. Students need to bring to class a calculator and codebook, along with scratch paper for notes. Class is approved for eight(8) hours of CEU with the state of Oregon.

This course is appropriate for people wanting a Limited Pump Installer Contractors License and is for Residential only NOT Commercial. Limited space available. OAR 918-030-0015 requires contractors registered with the Building codes Division to maintain an active CCB license. Be sure to provide the business/company's CCB number and expiration date. UCC will be offering a comprehensive 51-hour course to prepare students to enter the pharmacy field and take the Pharmacy Technician exam. The course includes pharmacy specific medical terminology, reading and interpreting prescriptions and defining drugs by generic and brand names. Students learn dosage calculations, IV flow rates, drug compounding, dose conversions, dispensing of prescriptions, inventory control and billing, and reimbursement.
