Course Detail: SCUBA102 - SCUBA 102 - PADI Advanced Open Water Certification

Completion of this course will result in the second level of scuba certification as a PADI® Advanced Open Water Diver. The Advanced Open Water Diver course is all about advancing a diver's skills. Students will practice navigation and buoyancy, try deep diving and make three specialty dives at the instructor's choosing (it's like a specialty sampler platter). For every specialty dive a student completes, credit can be earned toward PADI® specialty certifications. Just like SCUBA 101, students are required to supply personal dive gear (mask, fins, snorkel, boots, and a surface marker buoy). During this course, a highly-trained PADI staff will teach students how to scuba dive in a relaxed, supportive learning environment. Upon completion, divers will be certified to dive to deeper depths and with the confidence to plan and dive with a buddy. An instructor will contact participants before the class begins to answer questions and orient attendees to class schedule and activities. SCUBA diving is not without risk. In order to participate in SCUBA training, a completed medical questionnaire stating that you are in good health is required. A doctor's signature clearing you to participate may also be required. You will also need to be reasonably fit and comfortable in the water. If you are intending to certify a child who is either 13 or 14 years old, we offer a PADI Junior Open Water Diver option. Contact your Instructor with questions prior to enrollment.
