No image available Biography: David Carpenter started his electrical career as an apprentice electrician, has certified as master and inspector. He holds a BSEE with several professional certifications. He is Chief Electrical Inspectorand Plan Reviewer for the City of Florence, Alabama. He is also ownerof Integrity Company, a consulting company that specializes in testing, training, engineering, inspection, codes, and standards. He has worked as Engineer, Master and Journeyman Electrician for the Tennessee Valley Authority, Champion Paper Inc., Occidental Chemical, Reynolds Aluminum, Amoco Chemicals and others. He is past chairman of theAlabama International Association of Electrical Inspectors and past chairman of the Alabama Electrical Contractors Board. He has served on several NFPA code panels and committees since 1984. David is registered with the OSHA Training Institute as an instructor and has authored books on Motors, Motor Controls, Grounding and Shielding, Hazardous Locations, Power Quality, Guide to the NEC & NESC for Electrical Inspectors, Guide to the NEC for Electrical Contractors, Commercial Electrical Inspectors Check List, Code and DesignCalculations, Electrical Engineering for the Non-Electrical Engineer, Guide to the OSHA Electrical Standards 600 Volts and Below, OSHA Electrical Requirements 269 (High Voltage), How to Deal with YourOSHA Compliance Officer, Management Skills for Engineers, and others.
