Introduction to Industrial Stormwater Management (In-person Course)
Ensure your industrial facility stays compliant with federal and state stormwater regulations by enrolling in our comprehensive 8-hour in-person course. Many industrial activities, like material handling, waste storage, and equipment maintenance, are exposed to the elements, allowing stormwater runoff to carry pollutants into nearby rivers, lakes, and wetlands. Federal regulations [40 CFR 122.26(b)(14)(i)-(xi)] require stormwater discharges from certain industrial activities to be covered under National Pollutant Discharge Elimination System (NPDES) permits. Successful completion of this one-day course will provide foundational knowledge for staff to achieve compliance with NPDES permit conditions. Topics include: development of a Stormwater Pollution Prevention Plan (SWPPP), review of best management practices (BMPs), sampling and monitoring strategies, and understanding permit conditions.
