Course Detail: WTGN150 - Genealogy - Preparing for Accredited Genealogist

This 30-hour course is completely online with completion within 15 weeks. Students learn how to prepare a four-generation client research project that includes a written report that analyzes evidence used to link generations; a research log; digitized images of important documents consulted during research; and well-documented family group sheets. Students finish assembling their research portfolios and take a practice exam to prepare for the International Commission for the Accreditation of Professional Genealogists (ICAPGen) exam.
