Biography: EDUCATIONGraduate of Pratt's GIS & Design certificate program.BIOGRAPHYSara Eichner is a data, GIS and design consultant with a background in visual art.Sara is part of a collaborative group that produces the annual Data Through Design Exhibition that is held during New York City's Open Data Week and showcases art using open data. Sara has worked as a partner with Pratt SAVI* on many GIS and Design projects since 2017.Sara is interested in the space between data analytics and data-driven storytelling and design. She uses GIS, data visualization and a user-centered design process to support sustainability and conservation efforts, address climate change and its impacts, map transportation networks and alternatives, and to look at how the arts reach the public. * SAVI stands for: Spatial Analysis and Visualization Initiative at Pratt Institute; it is a mapping and analytics research hub that untangles the complexity of data through design.
