Course Detail: IVTH - LPN IV Therapy Certification

Innovative 8-week online class includes 30 hours of online theory and one (1) required 4-hour face-to-face skills validation session. Designed for an LPN to gain the necessary knowledge and skills to perform selected components in the management of intravenous therapy. Cost includes lab supplies. Must have a current LPN license to begin the course.

Students will utilize Blackboard to access the course online. Students with an active Blackboard account will use their current login credentials to access the course. All other students will be assigned temporary-use login credentials. Access to the online course will not be provided until we have your LPN license number on file.

Required materials:  The textbook for this course is Infusion Therapy Made Incredibly Easy!, 6th edition, ISBN: 9781975236564 and is available for purchase through the Lake Region State College Bookstore as well as other places online.

A skills validation session is typically scheduled to occur the final week of the course. This lab will take place in Devils Lake, ND at the Bergstrom Technical Center, Lake Region State College. A preceptor site can be set up at a location closer to you if completing your skills validation session in Devils Lake, ND is an issue. Please call 701-662-1578 for more information.

A certificate of completion and 30 ND Board of Nursing-approved contact hours will be awarded following successful course completion.

Cancellation Policy: Cancellation more than 5 days prior to start of training results in a 25% cancellation fee based on the class fee. Cancellation 5 days or less to the start of training results in no refund.
