Course Detail: ONLN-9060 - An Introduction To Voiceovers (Getting Started In Voice Acting)

Have you ever listened to commercial, animation, or audiobook and thought" I wonder if I could do that? If you're interested in turning your voice into income from home, voice acting could be a great fit. It's also normal to have questions. Is the industry too competitive? Do you need expensive equipment? How do you find work? And is AI changing everything? This introductory class addresses these concerns honestly, giving you a clear and realistic understanding of what it takes to get started. You'll explore different types of voiceover work including commercials narration and animation while learning practical tools and techniques. Your instructor will also share real-world experiences to show how jobs are booked and what clients expect. The session includes both instruction and practice. You'll read a sample script and receive personalized coaching feedback and performance tips. Afterward your instructor will provide a detailed evaluation during a follow-up call to help guide your next steps. In this customized 90-minute 1-on-1 session, you'll meet a pro voice actor from Voices For All through a live video chat. You'll learn about industry trends and how accessible it can be to create a home voiceover setup without overspending. 

Requirements: participants must have internet access and video chatting capabilities 
using a method such as: Zoom or iChat/FaceTime (Mac/iOS).
