Katie Bretzlaff is an Artist and Art Educator with over 23 years of experience teaching artists of

all ages and ability levels. She holds masters and bachelor's degrees in art education. For 21 years, she taught at the high school, middle school, elementary, and university levels. In

2022 she opened an Art Studio and Gallery, Hedgeapple Arts, in downtown Kankakee,

where she teaches classes to adults, teens, big kids, and little kids. She has presented at state

and regional conferences on topics related to Art Education, Design, Publications, and

Photography. Katie is a practicing artist who creates using many different media and processes

such as painting, photography, mosaics, printmaking, mixed media, fresh floral design, set

design, and mural arts.
