No image available Biography: On A Whim is owned by Cheri and Steve Thomas. Steve focuses on traditional woodworking projects, while Cheri brings a modern twist to their workshop with laser technology. When Cheri's position as a land title searcher was eliminated at the beginning of the 2020 shutdown, she pivoted by adding a 40W CO2 desktop laser to create personalized gifts and participate in local craft events. Over the next three years, she expanded her skills and began holding DIY workshops. In March 2023 when Steve retired from Local 17 Heat & Frost Insulators, they invested in a 100W CO2 laser and a 30W fiber laser to further enhance their offerings. Cheri is dedicated to finding unique projects for her workshops and continuously learning new painting and finishing techniques to share.
